The thing is, the way this film was promoted as some game changing or revolutionary film criticising the eDuCaTioN system made a lot of people at the time take it seriously for a while.

Since 3 idiots, his films have been either virtue signalling people(religion bad but only hinduism bad since if I criticise islam they will kill me), propaganda ( where he whitewashed the entire Kashmiri genocide) or whatever the hell sanju was.ģ idiots is a good film if you just went to have fun with your friends or girlfriend to see a movie without taking it seriously and maybe do some chumma chatti with your gf with some irrelevant movie playing in the background ( which most bollywood films are meant for anyways). His films like munnabhai mbbs was a better film than all his other works since it only sticked to a plain and simple comedy. " everything is evil other than me" kind of meme. It's just a movie based on the " Everyone's stupid except me" or I get it, external factors do count in but it is overly exaggerated in the movie.
It is just a feel good movie for people who needs validation about how the failures in their lives are not actually their fault but the faults of external forces like teachers, parents and society. My take on the movie is that it just promotes the victim mindset in people.
